
The start of a new school year is all about introductions, building connections, and creating a welcoming classroom community. With this Braille Slate & Name Card Craft, students design their own personal name cards while exploring how Braille is written. Using a simple slate they build themselves, learners will emboss their names in Braille on name cards. The process gives students a hands-on way to understand how Braille works while also sparking important conversations about different ways people access language and information.
