How to play
Look over the food cards, then drag each one (or tap it, then tap the map) to the place where it first came from. Each correct match opens a fact card about the food and its home. In grades 2 and up, every food you place adds to a timeline of when it arrived in America, and the game ends with a Timeline Challenge.
Four grade bands
K–1: Place six foods on the seven continents, with a read-aloud voice for early readers.
2–3: Place nine foods on their home countries, with helpful hints and short fact cards.
4–5: Place fifteen foods, then answer a new timeline question each time you play.
MS+: The country labels stay hidden until you place each food, so students locate every country on their own.
Built for the classroom
Taste Travels works on smartboards, Chromebooks, iPads, and phones. Students can download a completion receipt, and the full standards alignment for Georgia, North Carolina, New Jersey, and New York is inside the game.
