Sundus Saad is a South African-Arab fiber artist and weaver based in Cape Town whose work encodes personal memory, cultural heritage, and a commitment to sustainable materials. After more than a decade in advertising, she transitioned to full-time art, creating woven pieces in banana silk, wool, copper wire, and semi-precious stones that draw on her childhood in Malawi and her paternal Arab heritage. This K–5 learning guide explores her life, process, and the stories woven into her work — with grade-banded content, a biographical timeline, vocabulary, discussion questions, and standards alignment for Georgia, North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, and Common Core.
