Garden Workshop is an interactive, standards-aligned planting game for grades K–5. Students move through five guided steps — choosing a planting season, selecting a biodegradable container, identifying the right seeds, sequencing the planting process, and growing their virtual garden. The game teaches sustainable gardening practices including the use of biodegradable containers such as egg cartons, newspaper pots, toilet paper tubes, and coconut coir pots, while building science vocabulary like germinate, compost, seedling, and nitrogen-fixer. Differentiated across three grade bands, Garden Workshop aligns with NGSS life science standards, Georgia Standards of Excellence, North Carolina Essential Standards, New Jersey Student Learning Standards, New York State Science Learning Standards, and Michigan Science Standards, as well as K–5 ELA vocabulary acquisition standards across all states.
