Al-Sadu
Weaving Craft
A traditional textile art from the Bedouin people of the Arabian Peninsula — brought to life for K–5th grade learners.
Celebrate Arab American Heritage Month with a weaving craft inspired by Al-Sadu, a traditional textile art from the Bedouin people of the Arabian Peninsula. Rooted in centuries of storytelling and skill, Al-Sadu uses horizontal rows to build geometric patterns that have been passed down through generations, primarily by women, as a way of preserving culture and identity.
